WORKS Holiday Schedule

In order to visit friends and family over the upcoming weeks, WORKS will be closed December 25th and 26th. We will be open December 29th-31st and will be closed again on January 1st. WORKS will re-open January 2nd and look forward to an exciting 2009. Happy Holidays to all!

INFINEON RACEWAY October 31
This seemed like a good date when the track gave it to us last year but the combination of a weekday and Halloween has made it a tough sell. Our financial pain, however, is your on-track gain because one of the best road courses in California can be driven, nearly empty, for a song. The capacity for this event is 120 cars. We currently have 32 sign-ups. The price has been lowered from $340 to $295 and includes free timing (normally $20) for the first 50 drivers. We're also gladly putting together even better deals for groups of 4 or more drivers. An opportunity to run this track this wide open, at this price, probably won't come again. WORKS Brain Flash Takes Podium at Targa Newfoundland

Recently, Andrew Comrie-Picard piloted a 2008 Mitsubishi Evolution X GSR to a first place class win in the Modern Modified division at this year's Targa Newfoundland road rally. The factory-backed ACP Rally team was a mere 19 seconds off the fastest time of the event, placing the WORKS flashed EVO X in third overall out of a 70-car field. The Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (MMSCAN) entries included both a 2008 Evolution X GSR (driver Andrew Comrie-Picard, co-driver Jen Horsey) and the upcoming 2009 Lancer Ralliart (driver Mark Hacking, co-driver John LeBlanc). Both cars featured a host of performance and safety modifications, including off-the-shelf WORKS Brain Flash P2 mail-in software to control the vital functions of their engines. Peter Guagenti also returned in the WORKS-sponsored Evolved Performance EVO IX RS for the third Targa with this chassis. Congratulations on all the teams' efforts during the grueling week-long, 2200km rally and we look forward to continued success at upcoming events!

WORKS Brain Flash Software Now Available for 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer and EVO X!

As stated in our Spring Newsletter, the WORKS Software Engineers have been toiling diligently over many months in order to gain entry, decipher and modify various ECUs for the 2008-2009 Mitsubishi lineup. We can finally say that once again, WORKS is the first and only U.S. company to provide ECU tuning/reflash capabilities for the latest Lancer CY4A and Evolution CZ4A chassis; no piggybacks, no black boxes--just proper engineering. Using our proprietary FlashWORKS programming system, we take the original ECU and alter the various software maps/tables to optimize the output for improved power and torque delivery as well as fuel economy while maintaining smooth and reliable operation. We are also able to extract and maintain the vital information that is unique to each ECU so that nothing is lost or reset to a default position in the process.

Our initial release of the WORKS Brain Flash Software was limited to being offered at our Infineon Raceway headquarters. Now it is available through the mail and we will also be expanding the service through our network of Authorized WORKS Dealers. The Brain Flash P1 for the 2008 Lancer models is $449 and the Brain Flash P2 for the 2008 EVO X is $649, which also includes the WORKS Boost Hose assembly. Custom tuning available on a Superflow engine dyno or DynaPack chassis dyno.
